I’ve been meaning to do an updated trends post for a while now but I seemed to keep pushing it to the back of my mind – so while I’m still into these, you may have seen a few of them floating around already. The thing I love about trends particularly is that you can incorporate them into any season; so while I’ll be wearing these in New Zealand for the winter, bloggers overseas will be styling them for summer. Basically, a cheat sheet for trans-seasonal dressing and getting the most wear out of your clothing. When following trends, I always try to go for ones that you know won’t look ‘outdated’ 5 minutes later and that you actually like (there’s nothing worse that feeling awkward in your own clothes). So, here are four of my favourite subtle trends for winter 2015…
Very much scandinavian style, I love how layering a sleeveless duster coat or blazer makes even a simple t-shirt and jeans look more classy. This is probably my favourite look of the moment and no doubt I’ll be rocking it under coats since it’s freezing here at the moment. This goes along nicely with the new long length, well, everything that has been popping up lately. Ahh, I just can’t get enough!
