Charlotte Tilbury is a name you’ll know well if you’re a beauty guru fanatic like myself. If you’re not, basically she’s a huge British Celebrity make-up artist that launched her own line back in 2013 and it’s grown like wildfire ever since.
It’s no wonder when her products are tried and true – she even used to mix her own moisturiser to use on models before bottling and selling it as Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream. The rest of her products focus on getting that ‘supermodel’ effortless beauty – from highlighting blushes, to lipsticks names after each celebrity they’re inspired by.
Her beauty brand was one I’ve had my eye on ever since I first got to see it in person travelling through London, so I knew it had to be the first one I reviewed in 2018. Back then I was a cheap backpacker with no reason to buy a fancy lipstick. Now, I can’t appreciate her beautiful rose-gold packaging enough. So are you curious to know whether it’s worth the hype? Read on for my full run-down.
Magic Foundation
Yes, totally worth the hype! I love this foundation and I’ve been using it ever since I lost my summer tan (tear, tear). It’s light weight, fresh and it has a little SPF so it’s perfect for the day time. I’ve never found a BB cream that’s been the right colour for me so I feel like this is a good alternative. Key here is that it looks really natural on the skin
The Retoucher
The shade I have in this is perfect to match with the Magic Foundation. It’s not a highlighting shade and makes concealing my under-eyes look (again) natural. I find it really easy to blend even when my skin is dry. It’s just a really handy concealer to have on the day-to-day in your handbag for touch ups.
Cheek to Chic Blusher – First Love
Hands down the BEST product I own from Charlotte Tilbury. The blush includes two shades within the compact – one for the apples of your checks, and one to sculpt. I LOVE this because it has a gorgeous golden highlight within the blush that really does give you that natural, supermodel glow.
Hot Lips – Kidman’s Kiss
Such a beautiful rose-petal pink shade lipstick and LOOK at that kiss detail. Modelled after Nicole Kidman, I think it looks best with pale skin like her own so this will be my staple come winter. It’s really comfortable on my (always dry AF) lips especially as this is a matte formula. Win-win for us that struggle to deal with matte lipsticks. Seriously though, that packaging!
So, Is it worth the hype? YES!
