So you probably noticed that I didn’t make too much of an appearance at Fashion Week this year. Between work and being really sick mid-week I decided it was time to take a break – even if that meant missing shows. Sad, I know. Sometimes you just have to act like an adult and look after yourself ya know? Luckily, I did make an appearance long enough to show off my new kicks.
Remix Magazine teamed up with Converse to shoot their classic One Star sneakers with Jono Parker. Let me tell you, I’ve been wanting these for years. I actually have no idea why I didn’t get a pair sooner to be honest. Now that I do, I barely take them off. They’re kind of that old school cool meets new age style. The black pair honestly go with everything; from feminine dresses to oversized pants. You name it. I’ll be wearing them with it.
I paired mine with a dress from C/MEO which has these ridiculous sized sleeves that I’m really into, especially with the embroidered pleats in the front to contrast. The structure of it looks really nice in person which is always a bonus. Hello waistline. Oh and the roses, can’t forget the roses. It’s not an obvious choice for me but it’s definitely a dress I can see myself wearing to events in future. Here’s to branching out in 2018, whaddup.
If you’d like to see my feature on the Remix website you can check it here, along with other bloggers that styled their Converse too.
