It’s been a month since I was last in Auckland, and the first thing on my 2023 agenda was to catch up with my best friend. The only thing we had decided on was an afternoon spent together, where she supplies the food and I supply the bubbly. On the way to her house I picked up two bottles from the supermarket – Brown Brothers Prosecco NV and Brown Brothers Prosecco Rosé. Because, what better way to toast to the new year than with a glass of sparkling wine?

For food, she prepared a classic charcuterie board with marinated olives and brie, so we chose to pop open Brown Brothers Prosecco NV. It’s a sparkling wine that’s perfect for cleansing the palate between dishes or to accompany nibbles. I personally love drinking Prosecco in the summer because it’s light and refreshing, and it pairs well with a variety of classic summery foods, making it an easy choice to share at the table.
If you’re looking for a fun and pink bubbly, Brown Brothers Prosecco Rosé is also a great choice. This sparkling rosé is perfect for brunch, afternoon tea, or summer picnics. It has a very light flavour, and the delicate pink colour looks great alongside whichever meal you decide. Both wines are crafted in one of the largest Prosecco producing areas in Australia, King Valley, and the grapes are grown in the cool climate of the Brown Brothers’ Banksdale vineyard.

Later that week I shared Brown Brothers Prosecco Rosé with my four flatmates. We sat outside, shared smokey BBQ dishes over long conversations, while enjoying the last of the days heat. Truly the best way to celebrate what finally feels like summer here in Auckland.
If there’s one thing I’ve learnt from 2022, it’s how important it is to make time to celebrate life’s little moments with the people you love. Whether it be a job promotion, buying a house or simply a reunion with your best friend. There’s no better way to enjoy these moments than with a delicious glass of Brown Brothers Prosecco NV or Rosé. Trust me, it will go down a treat.
Here’s to a great 2023 ahead!
