I’m the person that always buys her Christmas gifts the week before. I intend on buying them early, then something comes up and next thing you know it’s too late for online orders and I find myself frantically running down to the shops. My go-to has always been Michael Hill Jeweller because they cover every price range and have something for both the ladies and men in your life. Plus, there are stores all over the country so you can quickly find something on the spot – which, let’s be honest, is pretty rare in New Zealand. I’ve put together some Christmas day outfit ideas below for all you fellow last minute panic shoppers. Hopefully it eases some of the stress by giving you a few fail safe gift ideas, haha.

I thought I should probably mention that Christmas can be very casual in New Zealand – especially after experiencing the build up to it in London. While the street lights in London certainly make it feel a lot more festive than here, nothing beats a summer Christmas. If you haven’t experienced it yourself you should put it on your bucket list RIGHT NOW. But seriously, I’m so glad to be back in time to spend it with my family, drinking and eating barefoot in the sun. It’s the best!
