• It just so happens that I call Melbourne home, so here is my list of places you absolutely MUST visit:

    – Brunswick St, Fitzroy
    – Smith St, Fitzroy
    – Chapel St
    – General CBD (places like Myer, David Jones)
    – Laneways and arcades in the city
    eg: Degraves St/Degraves St Subway, Flinders Lane

    If you're interested in browsing designer goods, Collins St in the city is your port of call.

  • Definitely Brunswick street on a Saturday- then you can stop by the Rose Street markets. Amazing cafes and nightlife there too!

    Chapel Street-all the little streets in the city esp. Flinders Lane!

    Lygon Street and Carlton are good to for general people watching and food!

    High Street Armadale is also worth a visit for all the little boutiques!

  • match bar & grill is real good. and then yeaah cant remember the names of the streets hehehe. but since you've got a week i'd say do the great ocean road as well. so beautiful out there !

  • As mentioned above Brunswick Street is great and Flinders Lane.

    Some cool bars to go to are Sista Bella's, Section 8 and Madame Brussels.

    Enjoy, Melbourne is amazing.

  • I'm a Melbourne girl and I agree with above definitely visit Degraves st for great cafes and cupcakes, Chapel st for great shopping and Brunswick St for vintage finds and food. My favorite place on Brunswick St is Bimbos Pizzeria which does amazing $4 Pizzas at lunch everyday except Saturday.

    (The 112 tram from Collins St gets you out to Brunswick street)
