In preparation for gifting season, Smashbox collaborated with influencer Jasmine Sanders to create the Smashbox Cover Shot Eye Palette in 7 new shades. I have to say, the size of these is right up my alley. They fit easily into your bag or even your wallet. I’ll be taking a couple of them away for Christmas for sure. If you’re already (already? I probably should be too) thinking about buying presents then these are definitely high up on my list to give. The new holographic makes them look extra special and I always gravitation towards make up that’s easy on the eyes – literally. Plus, at just $46 NZD a pop they’re pretty well priced compared to some of the other Christmas themed palettes on the market.
You can buy these exclusively at Mecca Maxima and are in store right now!
I’m such a fend when I see a new palette I like so I couldn’t leave you without photos of all the new Smashbox Cover Shot Eye Palettes. I swatched a couple of my favourites, including Ablaze and Petal Metal and they’re beautifully pigmented and blend out beautifully. I’m pretty particular when it comes to eyeshadow so know that I don’t say that lightly. I can’t wait to show you some summer looks with both of these as well as the others this summer.
So far I think Ablaze, Petal Metal and Major Metals are my favourite of the Smashbox Cover Shot Eye Palettes. They’re all warm toned with a lot of golden shades, as well as some like the copper shade Heat Index which I think will be epic on its own. If you’re a cooler tone fan (like my best friend who was eyeing this up to steal) you’ll love Prism.
What I love about these palettes apart from the size, is the range of colours. They really do give you options but nothing too crazy – no one ever likes getting a random fluorescent blue shade in the mix. These really are all really wearable and give you options to stay light or dark. Big fan! See all the shades for yourself below.
