Argh, these photos give me a kind of nostalgia I can’t seem to relieve living in Auckland. Taken back by one of my best friends at home in Central Otago (New Zealand, yol) over Easter break. The thing about C.O. in Autumn is that it’s unbelievably beautiful. It really is my favourite place to be this season. Whether it’s the crisp air, the orange leaves scattered everywhere or the mulled wine – nothing quite compares. So on that note, if you’re looking for a time to visit Queenstown or the area: the time is now people. So, so beautiful.

I love going home Easter weekend too because so many of my friends there. On Easter Sunday a small town up the road called Clyde puts on it’s annual Wine and Food Fest; which hosts all of the best wines and foods in the area. For the locals though it’s really just an excuse to catch up over too many drinks. Not to mention, there’s always an after party. Oh, that after party. To say I was struggling to function the next day would be an understatement. A lot of fun though – especially when I haven’t seen some of my friends since I left high school.
Before I went I picked up this coat from Glassons at their new season launch which has been on my body ever since. The colours scream Autumn so it was going to be a winner from the start – the fact that it’s also thick and warm solidified it’s place in my wardrobe. I think it’s possibly one of the best pieces I own right now, which isn’t really saying much. This girl ain’t loyal (to clothes or chocolate flavours).
Right before I went home I also grabbed these boots from Mi Piaci. Can we just take a moment for how perfectly ‘me’ they are? I couldn’t have picked a better boot to carry me through the next couple of months. Black: check. Heel: check. Buckle: check. Especially since I’ve completely worn my previous black staple boots out. Remember these here and here? They’re officially retired. Made in Portugal in the softest leather, these babies are super comfortable. We are
sole soul mates.
