We are deep into winter here in New Zealand. it’s freezing and I can’t remember the last time I saw a proper amount of sun. The only way I’m getting anything that resembles a tan is if it comes from a bottle, so you know I’ve been using all the fake tans in my arsenal. This month I’ve been reaching for my collection of Bali Body. more specifically, the NEW Bali Body Gradual Face Tan.
Let me start by saying that I’m terrible at applying fake tan, especially to my face. I usually end up tinting my eyebrows orange and giving myself some ridiculous tans lines from tossing in my sleep. I don’t say this lightly – this product is a game-changer and an absolute must-try, especially when you’re starting with translucent, winter neglected skin like mine.
The Bali Body Gradual Face Tan feels just like a rich moisturiser on your face. It’s enriched with Aloe vera extract, Cacao butter, Shea butter to create a deeply hydrating and smoothing formula. I like to use this every other night on my face and décolletage for a sunkissed glow by the morning. It subtly builds too, so if you need it, you can use it more frequently for a deeper tan. Secondly, it comes in my favourite push to use packaging, so you never have to worry about it leaking.
What I love about the Bali Body range is that each product works so well together. I finished this look off with the Bali Body BB Cream, which I first reviewed years ago and it’s still a favourite of mine. Its hydrating and pigmented formula could easily replace foundation on a good skin day. I followed this up with the Highlighter Stick in Moonlit. This was my first time trying the stunning Bali Body highlighters and I love them! I think they’d be great as an eyeshadow or to make your décolletage pop along with the Shimmering Body Oil. This routine has to be the easiest way I know to achieve a beautiful sunkissed beachy look with minimal effort.
