I’m actually pretty new to the idea of make up. It wasn’t until I meet my friend Sam at uni, who was obsessed with it, did I ever really give it a go and my collection has expanded dramatically since. Well, at least my eye make up collection did. Now that I don’t live in Wellington anymore it’s been a lot harder to get my hands on good quality make up (which isn’t M.A.C) so I mostly buy mine online – all of this is from the eye makeup range at Luxola. To be honest, I was mostly excited to finally get my hands on some Make Up Store, a Swedish brand that my favourite blogger always used and raved about, but you could never buy in New Zealand. So excited (apparently) that I decided to put together a little look and review for you with the products and even scored you guys a discount code to use for 15% off your first order.
To get my eye look, I started off by putting ‘Brulee’ all over the lid and in the crease. This eyeshadow is great for evening out the skin tone on your lids because of it’s rich pigmentation and natural colour. Next, I swirled together all the colours of Make Up Store’s Rosso Asiago to create a gorgeous rose gold shade, and applied this all over the lid with the Zoeva Luxe Soft Crease brush (221). I then also added a bit of this below my bottom lashes with the Zoeva Petit Eye Blender (223) brush. I then used the Zoeva Luxe Defined Crease brush (224) to add the darkest colour of the marble eyeshadow into my crease and along my lash line. Lastly, to add a little something extra, I actually cut the corner of the Ardell Wispies and added them to the outside corners of my lashes using the Duo Eyelash Glue.
