To be fair, this week has been a little bit of a blur. I guess when you don’t have much of a routine, the days all seem to blend together. Continuing on with the adventurous year ahead, I’ve spent my week planning a trip to Melbourne to visit friends, organising the best flights and accommodation. Let me tell you, my commitment phobia extends beyond the normal realm of relationships. Maybe it’s just the fact that I’m about to finish university and I’ve got the I-don’t-know-what-i’m-doing jitters since you know, I’ll be free to do whatever I like. Either way, booking these tickets has taken a lot more courage than anticipated. Before I leave though, I’m determined to spend my next couple of months in New Zealand well by exploring as much of it as I can, so these posts are about to get a lot more exciting. Continue reading for my highs and lows of this weeks activities…
- Valentines day. I mean I’m single so I don’t really fit the commercial aspects of the holiday, but I enjoyed it just the same with the special strawberry and cream Lindt balls that taste amaaaazing. Also too many drinks with friends because why the hell not?
- Went to see 50 Shades of Grey. I think I kind of hate and love it..
- The Weeknd. If you haven’t heard his music, you need to, right now.
- For university, my tutors often would recommend reading the book “How to Win Friends and Influence People” and I think more than anything it points out all the little things we don’t do in our everyday lives to appreciate others and how that little extra effort goes such a long way. It’s just a book everyone needs to skim through at least once I think.
- How to get away with Murder is back – so so so good.
- Spent this dreary day on the beach with Mum that turned out to be secluded and really warm. Have I mentioned that the beach is literally my favourite place ever?
- Finishing Summer School, hello two week break!
- Migraines. I got one in the middle of a restaurant and let me tell you – it’s effing scary not being able to even string a sentence together.
- People with the wrong idea – completely.
- Working my way slowly through a boatload of emails.
