Another outfit post coming to you from my favourite spot in the world – my bed. I’ve changed my sheets, tidied my room and am feeling a little calmer. I’ve been in a weird mood pretty much all week. It’s nice to give myself the chance to sit down with a tea in hand and take a minute. Sometimes life can get a little overwhelming, no? I’ve been told it has something to do with the recent full moon, and since I can’t pinpoint anything in particular being wrong I’m going to roll with it.
A big pick me up was these boots arriving in the mail. With autumn being just a week away the boot coveting has begun. I’d been eyeing these snakeskin boots up for the past month and finally decided enough browsing was enough. After making it into my cart (and being abandoned) no less than 10 times, they made their way over the ditch and onto my feet. I love that The Iconic still stocks Topshop since they closed up here in Auckland. It makes it still affordable by avoiding the bad exchange rate and shipping costs – win, win.

They’re called the Hurricane snakeskin boots and that they are. I think the exaggerated heel and height gives off a “I could stomp on you so don’t mess with me” vibe. I have to say I’m impressed with the quality of these boots too. Sometimes snakeskin is a bit hit or cheap miss, but these look expensive. They’re super cool paired with casual clothes too which I love since my day-to-day style doesn’t differ much from this outfit. I am now on the hunt for a sleek blazer dress so I can wear these on a night out.
Now, after a quick nap and a shameless Kardashian-Jordyn Woods scandal update I need to get on and start packing. This weekend I’m off to a festival in Christchurch which is basically just an excuse to catch up with some of my closest friends. They’re the kind of people who give you energy rather than draining it. I seriously need that right now – Auckland you’re fun but you’re exhausting. Ciao for now!
