It feels like it’s been forever since I last sat down and wrote a blog post. You may (or may not) have noticed that my blog has changed a little. I’ve spent the last couple of weeks working on little tweaks to make it work better for you and all my new readers. Hi, hello! There’s quite a few of you. In between all of this technical chaos, Sophie and I managed to finally get outside and shoot an outfit post for me. Creator’s guilt had definitely set in, and here’s the outcome.
I actually have the day off work today to spend with my best friend on her birthday. There’s nothing quite like a 4-day working week and I’m going to enjoy every last second of it – especially since I have no holidays planned in the near future. We are about to have a boozy girls lunch on Waiheke Island and celebrate our new ages. Our birthdays are exactly a month apart so, why not? Now, fingers crossed today doesn’t resemble something out of The Hangover, because that’s what usually happens when we’re together…

Reformation Linen Blazer (similar here & here)
Lonely Lingerie Bralet
Rubi Snakeskin Boots (similar here & here)
Cendre Necklace & Earrings
These snake print boots have been a staple for me lately. I think the mix of the low heel, cool print and the fact they only cost me $15 means that I don’t mind trashing them. Run don’t walk – if you’re in New Zealand you can still pick them up from Cotton On. I have to draw the line with these though – I now own at least 5 different pairs of snake print shoes and for someone that wears sneakers 90% of the time, that’s just too many. Do it for the blog though, right?
Anyway, I need to leave you here because I need to get ready to catch the ferry. I’m stuck in between wanting to dress up and curl up in anything warm I can find. Auckland hasn’t decided whether it’s going into spring or winter so we’re stuck with something that resembles a drizzly mess. It’s these moments that I find myself searching Skyscanner for tickets to any warmer islands. This summer better be warm and hot or else, I’m done.
